Kaitlin Aaby 

Client and Office Coordinator

Kaitlin Aaby brings a blend of strategic communication skills, environmental science and policy expertise and operational insight to her role at GBSM. With a proven track record in project coordination and nonprofit management, she excels at aligning processes and people to drive efficient, positive outcomes for clients. Her experience includes developing streamlined operational systems, creating digital content that resonates with diverse audiences, and managing complex logistics to ensure project success. 

Kaitlin is highly skilled in engaging with diverse communities to develop meaningful and inclusive initiatives that lead to sustainable change. In her previous role with a local nonprofit organization, she oversaw daily operations, production processes, marketing, and events, focusing on sustainable practices while integrating new programming for the community.  

Kaitlin started her career doing environmental consulting work, partnering with national environmental organizations impacting policy. There, she strengthened her technical writing and stakeholder engagement skills, equipping her to deliver clear, impactful communication on challenging issues. 

Kaitlin holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Studies from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Colorado’s outdoors with her rescue pup Ginger, going to live concerts, and contributing to the climate justice movement in Denver.
